“I have been fortunate enough to meet with Jeanie and benefit from the amazing Bowen and Emmett techniques. Jeanie is so intuitive and my treatments have given me so much and on many levels. I am in my early 60’s and train Spanish stallions each day. Jeanie has the expertise to get to the root of a problem. She is the most effective practitioner I have seen. Huge thanks to Jeanie” Jenny Rolfe
The Emmett Technique is a safe and simple muscle release therapy developed by Remedial Therapist Ross Emmett. It is used to address pain and discomfort, improve body movement and may restore a positive emotional state.
The Emmett Technique uses a combination of light pressure and gentle switches on precise points to release specific muscle groups and allow the client’s body to return to a state of balance. The results are often dramatic, and can be instantaneous, with most clients recognising the improvements in pain levels and range of movement before leaving the clinic.
Emmett can be used alone, or as a way of enhancing the performance of other therapies, making it one of the most versatile and desirable treatments available.
This treatment is usually performed over light clothing and will generally take between 30 and 50 minutes. The practitioner is trained to identify the source of the client’s discomfort and gently release the areas which are contributing to the problem. This can often mean a quite dramatic change in balance, flexibility, strength, range of movement, breathing or other functions, depending upon which areas are worked. Practitioners trained in this way are able to tailor their treatments precisely to their clients’ needs and to create lasting change.
